Great White is an American band, formed in 1977 but gained popularity in 80s and 90s. Group was made by guitarist Mark Kendall and vocalist Jack Russell. They were performing as Highway, Livewires and finally - Wires. At this time, in 1979 Kendall was sentenced to 8 years in prison for shooting a maid in robbery attempt. In 1982 after Kendall's earlier release from prison they formed a band with Lorne Black (bass guitar) and Audie Desbrow (drums, since 1985). Two years later they released first album called Great White which gave us the heaviest band's sound. Their most successful singles are Once Bitten, Twice Shy, Save Your Love and Rock Me. In 2003 they were performing in Rhode Island when The Station nightclub fire consumed 100 people, including band guitarist Ty Longley. They had almost twenty changes in members of group until 2011 when Jack Russell decided to made his separate band called Jack Russell's Great White and he left Great White. The two groups are performing until now.
