Europe

Europe is a Swedish (finally sth different) group formed in 1979 under the name "Force" by vocalist Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, bassist Peter Olsson and drummer Tony Reno. They gained success with their third album "The Final Countdown"(1986) which sold over three milion copies in USA. Its contained also thre great singles: "Cherokee", "Carrie" and "Rock the Night". Before they released it John Levén replaced Olsonn and Ian Haughland replaced Reno thus forming their constant line-up. After released two more albums, they decided to take a break at the end of the 1992 tour in their best years. They did a concert in Stockholm on New Year's Eve 1999, performing two songs. Over the years, there were several reunion rumors and finally in 2003 Europe announced plans for a new album and world tour. They reunited in original line-up and they released five albums, the last one in 2015. This year they are planning to celebrate their 30th Anniversary of "The Final Countdown".
